Methodology
UC Systems follows a proven streamlined process that begins with a kick-off meeting that sets the tone for our ongoing relationship. But it does not stop there, you are able to track progress as well as collaborate with UC Systems designated team(s) via multiple channels. We go out of our way to involve you in the process and to ensure you are a part of every step. Here is an overview of our standard development process.
Phase 1: Exploratory
- Gather and organize the information needed to determine your project objectives and outline your project scope.
- Requirements Review and Engagement Scope: Clearly define parameters for the project along with a tentative schedule that works within your time frame and your budget.
Phase 2: Scheduling and Planning
- Determine Points of Contact, review processes, define important milestones, tailor fit a consultant team, and set expectations for deliverables.
- Designing Project Flow and Layout: Design the flow and layout of the project contents and define any information gaps. Provide instructional design. Construct a planning document.
Phase 3: Development
- Create Prototype. Create working model. Create release candidate. Review with feedback performed on each stage.
- Refinement Review: Ensure that we are on target according to scope. Avoid costly changes. Review all projects, scripts, and interface designs.
Phase 4: Testing
- Comprehensive Testing. In addition to iterative testing during development.
- Present documented plan to solve any remaining open issues.
Phase 5: Documentation
- Documentation for each package and common sets of packages will be provided to explain the repackaged installation as well as any requested or required customization variables.
Phase 6: Presentation, Knowledge Transfer, and Training
- Formal Presentation. Finished Project.
- Knowledge Transfer.
- Review Success and Challenges. Vigorous evaluation with your input.
